In Elizabeth’s story, Not All Polar Bears are Created Equal, a K9 officer’s birthday party turns into another night at the office when her four-footed partner indicates for drugs on one of the gift boxes. The box previously held a hideously ugly ceramic polar bear, purchased during a drunken on-line shopping spree by her best friend. The purchase leads the police to a local drug ring, but as the case grows in importance, will the purchaser ever live it down?
